Molteni Campagnolo Merino Wool Cycling Jersey

Molteni Campagnolo Merino Wool Cycling Jersey
Molteni was an Italian pro team from 1958 until the end of 1976. It won 663 races, many of them earned by its most famous rider, Eddy Merckx. Other riders included Gianni Motta and Marino Basso, who contributed 48 and 34 wins respectively.

On a customers' request we made a green version, and the classic orange version is available too.

Note the rainbow stripe trim, recognising Merckx's 3 World Champion wins.

  • The single most useful article of clothing on our tour
I just wanted to mention to you how useful your wool jerseys were for my wife and I on a recent bike trip. We just finished a 3200 km bike tour in Europe, starting in Copenhagen, and finishing in Northern Italy. Since we were in Europe for almost 3 months, we had to pack for a full range of expected temperatures. From hot, dry days, to cool, wet weather and near freezing temps. And since we were riding “self supported” we had to keep our luggage weight as low as possible. We are both long-time fans of wool cycling gear for its durability and wide temperature comfort range. My wife and I each took just one Soigneur wool jersey, and it became the single most useful article of clothing on this tour. In retrospect, we could have ditched some of our “lycra” jerseys, and made room for one more wool jersey, because of the ability to wear wool on multiple days before requiring washing, and its usefulness. My wife wore her “Molteni” jersey, and I wore my custom “Della Santa” jersey. Thanks for making a great product. Cheers, Steve
